One Year in North Yorkshire (One Day in May)

An afternoon of map-based art-activism highlighting the ongoing need to support victims of sexual violence.

Inspired by the iconic work of Suzanne Lacy which brought about great changes in the 1970s, visitors are invited to place a stamp on a map of North Yorkshire to acknowledge the 1,436 reported incidents over the past year. Comments can also be added and will be collated into an artwork to be shown in October when the charity Survive marks 35 years of victim-support in North Yorkshire.
