‘Perhaps’ by Rommi Smith
We are proud to have collaborated with Harewood House and Rommi Smith to print her poem ‘Landscape 1’.
Written to J.M.W. Turner, this poem draws on Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park (1814) to reimagine the geographies of learning, art, and society. Rommi Smith weaves Austen’s sharp wit with her own poetic voice to explore the landscapes that shaped education and artistic sensibility in the early nineteenth century.
Rommi Smith is an award-winning poet, playwright, performer, librettist, curator and broadcaster, who specialises in the imaginative critical and creative (re)interpretation of archival materials.
On display as part of Austen & Turner: A Country House Encounter (May to October 2025), celebrating the 250th anniversaries of the painter J.M.W. Turner and novelist Jane Austen.
A limited edition of 7 copies. Not available for sale.
