Multi-Section Binding with Hard Covers

Learn how to create books with multiple sewn sections and hard covers.

This practical, hands-on workshop builds on the fundamentals of bookbinding, introducing the techniques used to construct larger, more durable books and leaving you with skills you can continue to develop at home.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who has some experience with bookbinding, such as those who have attended Single Section Binding with Soft and Hard Covers, or for beginners looking for a creative challenge! All equipment and materials will be provided.

This workshop forms part of a three-workshop series, alongside Single Section Binding with Soft and Hard Covers on Saturday 29 August and Bookbinding: Slipcases on Saturday 24 October.

You can purchase Single Section Binding individually for £140 (lunch included), or book the complete programme for £395, including your very own Thin Ice Press apron.

Feedback from Single Section Binding with Soft and Hard Covers

“I knew it would be good but it was better than good. … Phil designed a brilliant sequence through various skills which was so easy to follow and yet we made so much. It was Blue Peter come of age and I was amazed that we’d made as much as we had by lunchtime but the single section case binding session in the afternoon was just brilliant. Thank you! Can’t wait for session two.”
